Ray's Story Total Electrical Course
14/09/2006

Ray originally trained for work in the electronics industry and moved in to management. He found himself taking more and more responsibility and became the general manager for a large organisation. The normal daily grind eventually pushes most of us to evaluate our situations from time to time and when company politics and beurocracy get in the way of a simple working life it’s time to look for something different.
Ray chose to look at the domestic electrical installation industry as a complete career change. He prepared a business plan, researched as much as he could about the work prospects in his local area for a domestic electrical installer and made contact with Technique Training to find a suitable training course. Opting for the 6 week Total Electrical package Ray completed all of his examinations in June 2006. The skills he gained have allowed him to fully launch his domestic installation company and get himself registered with one of the leading competent persons schemes. He can sign off all of his own work and successfully completing the City & Guilds 2391 will prepare for doing periodic inspection & testing as well. As so many of our students have in the past, Ray felt he would like to share some of his thoughts with us about his training experiences:-
“Just wanted to drop you a quick e mail to thank you. I received my 2391 certificate in the post today and am VERY pleased”. “Once I completed the six weeks in Chesterfield, I formed my company, got myself kitted out following advice from you and the team and off I went. I am meeting my business plan and enjoying every minute. I am so pleased to be doing something far more positive with my life rather than working for large companies full of egos and politics. Great job guys and good luck with your ventures moving forward”. Ray – (Fareham, Hampshire)
