Domestic Electrical Installer Qualification (City & Guilds)


Limited Scope

This course is designed for people wishing to upgrade their existing skills to be able to offer customers further services. The course is aimed at tradesmen like plumbers, kitchen fitters, bathroom installers, etc who no longer want to pay an electrician to add sockets, move existing systems or add an extra light switch etc…

Upon completing this 2 week course, the candidate will have the appropriate knowledge and qualifications to enable them to join one of the Approved Part P membership schemes. This will then enable them to sign off their own work without having to get others involved.

Upon successful completion of the course the candidate will obtain the following qualifications

  • City and Guild 2382 17th edition wiring regulations
  • City and Guilds 2392 Fundamentals of inspection and testing
  • City and Guilds 2393 Building Regulations
  • CITB Essential Electrics (optional examination, incurs an additional £50 fee)

The course contains both practical elements and theoretical elements. Prior to commencement of the course, a basic electrical manual will be sent out to allow the candidate to do some prior reading.

Please note this course is NOT designed for people wishing to re-wire houses or do periodic inspection and testing, our course designed for that is the TEC20 – 30.
